Back Escape - Scoot to Hip Escape

June 04, 2010 by admin

Saulo Ribeiro demonstrates a back escape. He first discusses the ineffectiveness of traditional back escapes, where you put your weight on your opponent and try to get your back to the floor. Instead, Saulo shows another method where you scoot down your opponent's body as far as possible. Then, kick one leg straight out to release one hook. Then hip/elbow escape away from the remaining hook to escape.
