Opening a Closed Guard with a Standing Hip Thrust

Saulo Ribeiro demonstrates opening a closed guard to start passing in no-gi. First, Saulo describes some overarching ideas to quash some of your opponent's weapons in their guard game by keeping your hips as close as possible to your opponent. Next, Saulo shows how to open the closed guard in one motion by (1) standing up, (2) pinching your knees together and (3) thrusting your hips forward.
