Side Control Attack - Kesa Gatame to Americana from Crucifix Position

May 29, 2010 by admin

JJ Machado demonstrates how to isolate your opponent's arm by baiting him to defend. When you go for an Americana (also known as a keylock) from side control (kesa gatame), your opponent will defend with his other arm. When he reacts, use that motion to trap his arm in a crucifix position. Then you can go for a more effective and efficient Americana.
