Turtle Attack - Flatten Out to Triangle from Back

May 25, 2010 by admin

Ryan Hall demonstrates how to attack the turtle to triangle. He first discusses the importance of getting a dominant position (top control) at the higher levels of grappling instead of relying on working from the bottom position. So when you have your opponent's back, Ryan advises to wrist control your opponent instead of committing to the choke and ending up in a less dominant position. From here, you drive your opponent's belly to the floor, forcing him to post with his free hand. Then sneak your leg through to a triangle position and adjust for the finish.
