Turtle Escape - Turtle Hook to Shoulder Roll to Triangle

June 03, 2010 by admin

Robson Moura demonstrates the turtle hook and the shoulder roll triangle. First, the turtle hook is used to prevent your opponent from having complete mobility to attack. Place your instep against his hip to hook, and your knee low on the floor. Next, Robson shows how to triangle your opponent off a shoulder roll from turtle. While rolling, put your thumb in your opponent's armpit to clear space to free your legs. Then transition into a triangle.
